CERVO and REGION
Renown for years as one of “The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy”, Cervo has preserved intact its highly original characteristics of a medieval costal town, protected by sixteenth century towers and walls, against a backdrop of green hills. The historic center is a pedestrian area and is preserved with its age-old buildings. Its cobbled alleys are decorated with craftsman and artists’ workshops.
Beyond the village, around the ruins of past eras, the hills are covered in pine woods and olive trees, criss-crossed by quiet paths. The only sounds are those of the clear blue sea below. Cervo’s table has remained peacefully true to the Mediterranean tradition: oil obtained from cold-pressed Taggiasca olives, wine produced with local grapes (pigato and vermentino) and dishes with freshly caught fish accompanied by home-grown vegetables and herbs.
